7.5/ 10
The short version
First swing with the Adidas Ultimate365 and there is enough give that I can squat to read a putt without thinking about it. Four rounds and a wash later they still held their crease. The catch: the waistband relaxes a little by the back nine.
How it played
I put it in play for 4 rounds and never babied it — wet mornings, baked-out afternoons, the lot. What I keep coming back to is that there is enough give that I can squat to read a putt without thinking about it. Where it bit me: the waistband relaxes a little by the back nine — worth knowing before you spend the money.
How it looks
Smart enough for the clubhouse, and not a cargo pocket in sight. I care less about that than how it feels, but it does not hurt.
What won me over
- they keep their shape after washing
- the stretch never fights the swing
- they shed light rain
Good to know before you buy
- light colours mark easily
- the waistband relaxes over 18 holes
My verdict
7.5/10 from me. If you go straight from the course to somewhere else, the Adidas Ultimate365 earns its spot in the bag. If light colours mark easily is a dealbreaker for you, keep looking.
