8.3/ 10
The short version
The Cowboys theme is heavy, the all-inclusive green fee is not a gimmick, and the golf underneath both of those things is better than I expected: rolling, tree-lined and tight in the right places.
How it played
Doglegs both ways and forced carries that need a committed swing. I loved that food, drinks and range are all in the fee — it changes how you play the round.
How it looks
Silver-and-blue everywhere, then a surprisingly handsome parkland routing over old gravel-pit terrain.
What won me over
- all-inclusive fee means no wallet decisions on course
- real elevation change for the Metroplex
- staff treat every group like a member group
Good to know before you buy
- the branding is a lot if you're not a Cowboys fan
- 150 bucks-plus is steep for a DFW daily fee
My verdict
8.3/10. The best-run public experience in the Metroplex.
