8.2/ 10

The short version

Pulled the FlightScope Mevo+ 2023 out on the first tee and the numbers land quickly enough that you stay in rhythm instead of standing about waiting on a screen. Carry numbers matched what I saw outside within a few yards, and that is all I ask of it. The catch: it wants more space and better light than most garages actually have.

How it played

I gave it 8 rounds before writing a word, including two in proper wind. What I keep coming back to is that the numbers land quickly enough that you stay in rhythm instead of standing about waiting on a screen. Where it bit me: it wants more space and better light than most garages actually have — worth knowing before you spend the money.

How it looks

A small box that does not look like lab equipment in the garage. I care less about that than how it feels, but it does not hurt.

What won me over

  • it sets up in a couple of minutes
  • the session data is easy to read afterwards
  • it handles wedges as well as it handles driver

Good to know before you buy

  • lighting affects it more than advertised
  • the software subscription adds up

My verdict

8.2/10 from me. If you practise indoors and are tired of guessing, the FlightScope Mevo+ 2023 earns its spot in the bag. If lighting affects it more than advertised is a dealbreaker for you, keep looking.
