8.9/ 10
The short version
Harbour Town is tiny by modern standards and it eats big hitters alive. Every approach is squeezed by oaks and every green is the size of a garage.
How it played
Shot shaping is compulsory — I hit more cuts and holds in one round here than in a month at home. Greens are small and quick, so anything under 30 feet feels like a chance and anything over it doesn't.
How it looks
Live oaks, Spanish moss and that red-and-white lighthouse behind the 18th green.
What won me over
- a proper thinking round for short hitters
- the 18th along the sound is iconic
- Dye's small greens are a joy to attack
Good to know before you buy
- long hitters will feel constrained
- Tour-week pricing is brutal
My verdict
8.9/10. The best low-country round in America.
