The short version

Pulled the Srixon Z-Star Diamond out on the first tee and it feels soft off the putter without going mushy off the driver, and that is the whole trick. It held its line into a strong wind better than the ball I had played all year. The catch: the cover picks up scuffs from wedge shots faster than I expected.

I gave it 14 rounds before writing a word, including two in proper wind.
