Vessel Player V Pro Review

Golf Bag · 12 rounds in my bag

The short version

I did not expect much from the Vessel Player V Pro, then it sits on my back without pulling to one side, even walking 18 on hills. I walked four rounds with it and never once had to shuffle the straps. The catch: the top dividers are tighter than the spec suggests once a full set is in.

How it played

No lab and no press-release numbers here: 12 rounds, real turf, real nerves. What I keep coming back to is that it sits on my back without pulling to one side, even walking 18 on hills. Where it bit me: the top dividers are tighter than the spec suggests once a full set is in — worth knowing before you spend the money.

How it looks

Clean panels, good stitching, and it does not look like camping gear. I care less about that than how it feels, but it does not hurt.

What won me over

  • it stands up on a slope without sliding
  • the rain hood is not an afterthought
  • the strap balance is genuinely comfortable walking

Good to know before you buy

  • it is heavier than the lightest carry bags
  • the valuables pocket is small

My verdict

8.0/10 from me. If you walk more than you ride, the Vessel Player V Pro earns its spot in the bag. If it is heavier than the lightest carry bags is a dealbreaker for you, keep looking.
