Voice Caddie SL3 Review

Rangefinder · 9 rounds in my bag

7.5/ 10

The short version

Pulled the Voice Caddie SL3 out on the first tee and it locks on fast and the little pulse in your hand takes all the doubt away. I stopped double-checking numbers, and my group stopped waiting on me. The catch: in flat light against trees it takes an extra beat to find the flag.

How it played

I gave it 9 rounds before writing a word, including two in proper wind. What I keep coming back to is that it locks on fast and the little pulse in your hand takes all the doubt away. Where it bit me: in flat light against trees it takes an extra beat to find the flag — worth knowing before you spend the money.

How it looks

Compact, grippy, and it fits a bag pocket properly. I care less about that than how it feels, but it does not hurt.

What won me over

  • the slope number matches the shot the hole asks for
  • the glass is clear even in low light
  • it fits a bag pocket without a fight

Good to know before you buy

  • the case magnet is weak
  • it needs a steady hand at 250 yards

My verdict

7.5/10 from me. If you want one number you can commit to, the Voice Caddie SL3 earns its spot in the bag. If the case magnet is weak is a dealbreaker for you, keep looking.
